Waterproof Coating For Basement Walls

Waterproof Coating For Basement Walls can Water percolation prevention is method adopted to prevent it from being affected by water and humidity.  This water-intrusion prevention method, in general,  is used in structures that cannot function if there is water and moisture. The bitumen (bitumen lump) top coating pattern has been in use since 5000-4000 pc.  At present,  due to the development of modern industries, the importance of this adhesive top coating method has significantly increased.

It is a viscous dark-coloured substance;  It is semi-solid petroleum with high toxicity.   It is rich in hydrocarbon;   It has the ability to block water;  Therefore,   it is used as a water permeability barrier.  Polymer is added to it and used in building industries to improve quality.  70%  of bitumen production is used for road construction.  The remaining percentage is used for sealing,  insulating and water percolation prevention.

Bitumen, a Waterproof Coating For Basement Walls Using Bitumen

The water permeability prevention method is used to prevent the con grid from being attacked by water, moisture and soluble salt and damaging the steel wires inside it.   It protects the buildings from climatic conditions.  When used as a top coating, it is used as a paint in liquid form.   There are also  Bituminous paints that are used as a top coating on the roofs.

Naturally, bitumen is insoluble in water.   It can also be used under the ground.  When used as a coating on top of buildings along with some other materials,  it protects buildings from UV rays, chemicals, and humidity of air and air from affecting buildings. It is durable;  The cost is also low.

Bitumen paint can be used as a top coating on most products.  For example, iron, steel, zinc, lead, aluminium, concrete and plastic.   This paint can be used as a top coating to protect the stairs, fence,  water tank, gate and ladder from harsh weather conditions.  Since it is available as paint, it can be applied by hand with a brush or sprayer.  The coated surface should be clean before using it.

Polymer-Mixed Coating

The polymer is flexible.  Adding the polymer to bitumen becomes more flexible.  It becomes a  strong barrier that prevents water from penetrating.   Bitumen coating mixed with polymers,  pavements on bridges,  washing rooms in factories, pipes, sewers, ports, water tanks, etc. in water-rich areas   It is being used.

Moreover,  this coating prevents cracks caused by the movement of structures; can withstand -25 to 100 degrees centigrade;   It has the ability to hold ultraviolet rays.    It can last a long time.    Due to its natural ability to drive and flexibility, it spreads smoothly and sticks well after applying it without bumps. The bitumen polymer coating is not harmful to the environment.
